So if you follow me on Twitter, last night I mentioned the different things I have discovered on Facebook by doing so many new things with my clients. 7 things you would not know unless you really navigate Facebook really well, and no not just uploading pictures and seeing whose dating who. I mean really getting down deep and using Facebook to its fullest capability.
#1 You can use Facebook with your phone! Of course your app but a “text to like” feature as well which is great for business owners who may have some customers who totally are against the entire downloading app fiasco. It also sends updates of your page post to your fan base which they CAN opt out of so lets not get carried away. All they have to do is text “Like [ insert your page name ]” to FBOOK (32665)
#2 Facebook allows you to embed post straight onto your blog or website.
#3 So you are about to post a link to your page but a bulk of writing shows up and an image you would rather not use for this post. You can edit those links. There will be an arrow on the image and you can scroll through to pick the appropriate one or press the tiny x button declining to add an image. For the text just hover your mouse over the title and description which will turn yellow and you can begin editing that portion to whatever you may want it to display.
#4 You ever think of a great post when you are away from your work area and forget to write it down? Or what about schedule all of your post out for the week BUT this certain day you were so busy you said forget it i’ll catch up tomorrow? Well that’s lazy! You should always plan ahead. My #1 rule. You want to be successful you make sure you have those plan A’s,B’s and maybe a C locked and loaded. Facebook comes to the rescue for anyone who has a hard time following a schedule. You can actually go ahead write out your post on your page but instead of posting it right then you can set the calendar which is directly at the bottom of the post and schedule date and time you want to submit this post.
#5 Repositioning photos! After you post a photo and it doesn’t center exactly how you thought it would, instead of deleting the post click the arrow located on the top right of the post and the reposition photo option appears. Easy right?
#6 You’re the owner of the company, and everyone knows your face and name. They decide to go add you as a friend on Facebook and you think talking smack about your clients is hidden because that’s where you like to express your “anger”. Guess again! FB no longer lets users hide from the search engine. Every Facebook user is able to be found. So think twice about what you post on your personal profiles you never know whose watching.
#7 You ever post something and seconds later realized you misspelled something? Well firstly, great you caught it, that would not look to good posting ” She is ugly” instead of ” She is cute”.
haha okay scratch that it’s not funny but seriously FB saves the day yet again with a simple click to the arrow located on the right of the post and edit.
